Fight Night: Academie Duello at Bard on the Beach takes place at the BMO Mainstage at Vanier Park (1695 Whyte Avenue) on September 8 at 7:30 p.m.

Academie Duello, the world’s largest school of European swordplay, will descend on Bard on the Beach for a night of martial arts, including sword fights from Shakespearean plays, a demonstration of how fight choreography is created, and an authentic historical prize fight.

The night will feature Academie Duello director Devon Boorman, stage and screen program head David McCormick, Academie Duello senior students, historical novelist CC Humphreys, and Bard on the Beach’s artistic director Christopher Gaze.
