There's been a slew of Vancouver concert announcements clogging up our inbox today, so let's clean 'em out.

The big news is hip-hop legend (in his own mind) Kanye West, who plays Rogers Arena on October 17.

Headbangers will be happy to know that Swedish progressive death-metal band Opeth is at the Orpheum Theatre on October 26. Also at the Orpheum, on September 17, is American soul ace Charles Bradley & His Extroardinaires. Both those gigs are fine Georgia Straight presentations.

The Vogue Theatre is getting into the act, with new shows announced by pop/R&B singer-songwriter Charlie Puth (November 4) and Swedish rockers Ghost (October 13).

Not to be outdone, the Biltmore Cabaret has announced Oklahoma country-blues singer-songwriter Parker Millsap on July 22 and New Zealand folk-rockers Marlon Williams & the Yarra Benders on October 7.

Other newly listed Vancouver gigs include L.A. indie-rockers Warpaint at the Imperial on September 20 and Chicago singer-songwriter Ryley Walker at the Fox Cabaret on October 7.

And if you're the type of person who never turns down a chance to rock out at the hallowed Commodore Ballroom, Alabama soul/R&B band St. Paul & the Broken Bones is there on September 25.

All above concerts go on sale this Friday (June 17), except Kanye West, who, being a bigshot, goes on sale Saturday.
