U.S. Department of Homeland Security drives into New Westminster

A concerned reader sent us a photo of what looks like a U.S. Department of Homeland Security truck.

The anonymous reader said the vehicle was spotted August 29 on Stewardson Way in New Westminster.

Perhaps its driver (and passengers) was in town to take advantage of the free admission deal on the final weekend of the Fair at the PNE.

What's your theory?

I'm more concerned that the photo appears to have been taken by the "concerned" driver of that vehicle, while it is clearly in motion.

Could it be being used for a TV or film production being shot here?

Its almost definitely a vehicle for a local film/tv production, even has BC Plates on it.

My, what passes as "journalism" these days. Nice headline: "US Department of Homeland Security Drives Into New Westminster"

How about fact-checking that before you run such w misleading/alarming headline. This is a film truck. Also, your "reader" didn't snap the photo himself.

Don't let the facts interfere with your sensational headlines though. As you were.
