The Vancouver Fringe Festival, now in full swing, runs September 4 to 14 but the fringy fun doesn't stop there.

Enter the Pick Plus Series, a series of Fringe audience favourites that are hand-picked and brought back for one night each to Granville Island's Performance Works (1218 Cartwright Street) from September 17 to 21.

First up in the series is Peter n’ Chris and The Mystery of the Murder Motel on September 17 at 9 p.m. The Canadian Comedy Award-winning duo won the Just For Laughs Best Comedy in the Montreal Fringe with this hit show.

In Basic Training, Kahlil Ashanti tells the redemptive true story of how he joins the US Air Force to escape his violently abusive childhood. In this interactive show, taking place on September 19 at 7 p.m., Ashanti has created and performs 23 unforgettable characters.

Chase Padgett will perform 6 Guitars on September 20 at 7 p.m. In the Colin Thomas favourite, Padgett becomes six unique guitarists, each with their own voice, views, and music (blues, jazz, rock, classical, folk, and country).

Last in the series is God is a Scottish Drag Queen II: The Second Coming on September 21 at 7 and 9 p.m. in which award-winning comedian Mike Delamont takes the stage as God, dressed in a floral power suit. No topic will be safe.

Tickets for the Pick Plus Series are available for purchase at vancouverfringe.com up until four hours before the show starts.

Tickets will also be available at the venue starting 45 minutes before the show.
