      FRIDAY: dance to the music of Cuban band Brisas del Palmar, with guest vocalist Jafelin, at St. James Hall.

      FRIDAY: Japanese jazz pianist-composer Uehara Hiromi performs with her trio at the Vogue as part of the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival.
