Christy Clark, your Purple Kush marijuana is in the mail
Could ending the months-long B.C. teachers' strike be as simple as Christy Clark, Peter Fassbender, and Jim Iker hot boxing it in the premier's minivan?
Marijuana activist Dana Larsen said today (September 11) that he has sent the premier some weed in the mail.
"I sent the Premier some cannabis buds for two reasons," Larsen said in a news release. "First, I thought if she could get together with Peter Fassbender, Jim Iker and their negotiating teams to share a joint, it would help break down some barriers and give the BCTF negotiations a fresh start.
"Second, I wanted to remind the Premier that legalization would mean over $200 million in annual savings and revenue for her government. Legal, taxed marijuana sales would mean a lot more money for our schools, as well as hospitals, libraries and other community services.
"We know that Christy used to smoke pot in high school, but now that she's Premier she's ignoring the wonderful benefits this crop could have for our province."
By the way, in 2004, a Fraser Institute researcher estimated that legalizing B.C.'s marijuana crop would create over $2 billion in tax revenue nationally a year.
Larsen also commented that he hopes the weed doesn't end up in the trash.
"I hope the Premier doesn't let it go to waste," Larsen said. "It's a variety called Purple Kush, which has a relaxing effect while also promoting good conversation. It would be perfect for a late-night negotiating session."
Larsen, a former B.C. NDP leadership candidate, spearheaded last year's unsuccessful petition campaign seeking a referendum on marijuana decriminalization in the province. His organization, Sensible B.C., is holding a conference in Vancouver from October 3 to 5.

Lock them all in a basement, no lights, aerosolize LSD into the place and tell them they won't be allowed to come down until there is a solution.

Why not just can them all and hire scabs to teach? The cost would be cheaper. And if your sending weed why not send an 8 ball as well its all about chooses. God some people shouldn't represent the general public

Great idea Dana. If we had any kind of decent society then your suggestion wouldn't seem unusual at all. People need to get educated about hemp, cannabis, marijuana.

finally somthing sensible in this outrageous and crazy "dispute with teachers". OMG, the only victims here are the kids and it is the responsibility of the government to make sure they get their education. Imediatly adopt the Sensible B.C. initiative and suspend the strike. Take a lowball estimate of the savings in police and tax resources and put that money on the table for continued negotiations, with the kids back in school now. Oh and absolutly inhale some sacred magical vapours to help the process.

This is brilliant. The herb helps open the mind, maybe this will help? We all know Christy used to love her weed...
I don't like how this article refers to the Sensible BC campaign as "unsuccessful". It was a huge success in terms of raising awareness of a social issue, and our next campaign will be that much more powerful!

Dana Larson, you probably should have blurred out the tracking number, lol. Now it'll probably just get seized by the cops. Though I don't see it in Canada post's tracking system yet.

Holy Crap! The education system, and the english department in particular have failed you Michael...If I was left with your ability to use the english language, I would be pissed off too. It should be "if you're sending weed..." & "...it's all about choices."
Perhaps you could go to one of Christy's private schools and retake some english courses. Read it before you press send.
If you can't afford one of Christy's private schools, perhaps this link will help.
