Vancouver Pride Society's Pride Premiere party to raise funds for Orlando survivors

      While the local Pride season got into gear with East Side Pride on June 25, this year, the Vancouver Pride Society is teaming up with TD to one of its biggest downtown Pride season kickoff parties.

      Pride Premiere will be held on July 21 at Celebrities Nightclub (1022 Davie Street), starting at 8:30 p.m.

      And because partying can be political, it's for a good cause.

      All proceeds from the event will be donated to a charitable organization providing assistance for LGBT survivors of the Orlando nightclub shooting. An organization is yet to be determined but will be announced before the event.

      Drag queen Carlotta Gurl will host the event, with the entertainment lineup still to be announced.

      Ticket are $5 (additional donations will be accepted) and can be purchased online.
