The Warriors will come out and play on TV

One of my fave movies of 1979--right up there with Alien and Mad Max--is The Warriors. Walter Hill's action-thriller about young New York City gang members struggling to survive during one long night of treachery kept me riveted from beginning to end.

I could definitely dig it.

So it's pretty cool to hear today that the film is going to be reimagined as a TV series. 

According to deadline.com, brothers Joe and Anthony Russo (the last two Captain America movies) will direct the series' one-hour pilot for Paramount TV and Hulu.

Can't wait to see who they get to play Ajax.

Or mega-weasel Luther, for that matter.
