The Georgia Straight presents KT Tunstall at the Commodore

Live Nation has announced that Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall will play a show at the Commodore Ballroom on Thursday, September 29, in support of her latest EP, Golden State

Two years ago, Tunstall thought she was done playing music professionally.

"As an artist I feel like I died," she says. "I didn't want to do it anymore." It had been ten years since she'd released her multi-platinum debut, Eye To The Telescope.

So the singer put her stuff in storage, sold all of her property in the UK, and started again in a little house in Venice Beach, California. She lived a quiet life for the better part of a year, until, one day the urge to rock began to return. And once it took hold, it just wouldn't let go. Almost against her own will, Tunstall found herself picking up her guitar and writing riffs. And they came, one after another after another after another.

Tickets for the show are priced at $29.50 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (July 15) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website.

Tickets will also be available for purchase by phone at 1-855-985-5000.
