After 12 years, Sip Lounge has decided to call it quits—for the moment.

The lounge, located at 1117 Granville Street, celebrated its run for three nights before it closed on June 4.

Open from Wednesday to Saturday evenings, it offered appetizers from perogies to tuna sushi and dishes from chicken waffles to steak, along with cocktails, beer, and wine.

Earlier this year, the lounge hosted chef Jan-Michael Reyes' Hawaiian pop-up kitchen Loco Ono that proved to be a hit.

However, all is not lost, as owner Raymond Staniscia informed us that the restaurant is undergoing renovations and will reinvent itself with a new name and brand.

More good news: they will continue to work with Reyes on his pop-up kitchens.

Meanwhile, during the renovations, Sip's sister restaurant, the Refinery, located above it at 1115 Granville, remains open for business.
