Just caught wind of an event happening in Vancouver tomorrow that the city's old-school music types won't want to miss.

The seventh annual Kitsilano 4th Avenue Reunion takes place at the Fairview Pub, from 3 to 9 p.m., with performances by Jim Foster, Smiling Jack Smith, Jim Salmon, Rod MacRae & Mark Benson, the Rusty Creek Boys (Alex Deeth, Peter Callaway, and others), and Heather Soles (with Ray Ayotte, Don Hardy, and Basil Watson).

Also taking part is the Rohan's Reunion Band, Mad Ivan & the Hornets, with Wayne Kozak, Dave Calder, Peter Clark, Denise McCann Bachman, and Jane Mortifee.

The event includes a tribute to local blues-guitar legend Danny Tripper, and proceeds from the $10 admission charge go to the Drew Burns Commodore Musicians' Fund.

And as if that weren't enough, there's a seventh annual Kitsilano 4th Avenue Reunion Picnic the next day at Kits Beach—in the treed area at the end of Arbutus—which runs from 9 a.m. "to whenever".

      See ya there "whenever".
