The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors Lynne Kutsukake at the Powell Street Festival

On July 31st, 3:30 pm, author Lynne Kutsukake will be appearing at the Firehall Arts Centre (280 East Cordova).

Presented as part of the 40th-annual Powell Street Festival, the Toronto-based wordsmith will be giving a reading of her first novel The Translation of Love, which tells the story of a newly repatriated girl in post-war Japan who helps a classmate find her missing sister.

Kutsukake's short fiction has appeared in The Dalhousie Review, Grain, The Windsor Review, Ricepaper, and Prairie Fire.
