Hundreds of thousands show up to see fireworks over English Bay

Vancouver Police say the crowds for last night's fireworks show over English Bay were among the largest ever.

Above, you can see a police aerial photo of the beach before the event began.

It was Team USA's turn and it relied on the pyrotechnic team from Walt Disney Resort in Florida to provide the entertainment.

This, combined with spectacular weather, likely increased the number of attendees, which has been estimated at around 500,000.
