Vancouver New Music presents the Sonic Topographies Festival at various Vancouver venues from October 16 to 19.

Featured guests will tackle projects around sustainability concepts and the connectivity between nature, society, and politics.

The festival will feature works by John Luther Adams (U.S.), Georg Friedrich Haas (Austria/U.S.), Annea Lockwood (New Zealand/U.S.), Tristan Murail (France), Michael O’Neill (Vancouver), and Hildegard Westerkamp (Vancouver), with performaces by Raven Chacon (U.S.), Ethos Collective (Vancouver), Scott Deal (U.S.), William Fried (U.S.), Leslie García (Mexico), Musica Intima (Vancouver), Akio Suzuki (Japan), and more.

Single tickets to concerts are $35 (or $15 for students) and can be purchased online in advance. Festival passes ($112 for all four concerts) are available here.
