The Vancouver Convention Centre has turned into a mecca for cosplay, anime, J-Pop, and Japanese pop culture this weekend, thanks to AniRevo 2016.

The three-day event, which continues until Sunday (August 7), features contests, dances, panel discussions with industry professionals, gaming, and tournaments.

While the conference has drawn hordes of fans, those fans are also a major part of the spectacle, as they come dressed up in elaborate outfits and replicate their favourite characters.

Here’s a sample of what went on today (August 6) at Canada Place.
