      When and where: August 22 at Yagger's Restaurant & Sports Bar (West Broadway) at 9 p.m.
      What to expect: Looking for a fun night out on a Monday night in Kitsilano? Then come on down to Yagger's Kitsilano for another great night of stand-up comedy featuring some of the best comedians currently working on the Vancouver comedy scene. This week's headliner is Gavin Matts.

      When and where: August 23-26 at Yuk Yuk's Comedy Club. Tues-Thurs at 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 7 & 9:30 p.m.
      What to expect: Yuk Yuk’s Vancouver comedy club provides the best live comedy in the city of Vancouver. Located on Cambie Street and West 12th Ave our Vancouver comedy club gives live stand-up comedy a new meaning in Vancouver attractions. Top Talent Showcase on August 23, Amateur night on August 24, Yuk Off Comedy Competition on August 25, Brett Martin headlines August 26-27.

      Stand-Up & Deliver! Comedy Open Mic

      When and where: August 24 at Seven Dining Lounge at 8 p.m.
      What to expect: Have you ever wanted to try stand-up comedy? This open mic is very receptive to new comics. Bring some friends and make a night of it!

      The Comedy Mix

      When and where: August 23-27 at the Comedy MIX. Tuesday-Thursday at 8:30 p.m., Friday & Saturday 8 and 10:30 p.m. shows.
      What to expect: Plant yourself in a plush booth, graze on some pub grub, sip a beer or two, and laugh along with some new and hot stand-up comedy. Oh, by the way, nobody else is responsible if you laugh so hard beer comes out of your nose. Just warning you. Pro-am night on August 16, Comedy Showcase on August 17, Trixx headlines on August 25-27.

      Joke Roulette

      When and where: August 25 at Seven Dining Lounge at 8 p.m.
      What to expect: Seven Dining Lounge will be putting on a stand up show with a twist. All the comedians will come with a list of their jokes. That list will be given to an audience member who will pick which jokes that comedian will be telling. A Joke Roulette if you will.

      What to expect: Three time Canadian Comedy Award winning duo Peter n’ Chris (Just for Laughs) are butting heads! Only this time, it’s the LAST time! Only one of them will survive, in this hilarious new sketch show where only one of them will survive!

      Alicia Tobin’s Come Draw with Me

      When and where: August 26 at Hot Art Wet City Gallery at 8 p.m.
      What to expect: Join comedian Alicia Tobin and her special guests Cam Macleod and Jane Stanton for an evening of drawings, laughings, sharings (not too much sharing) huggings (no way, gross), marker sniffing, and friendships. Part comedy show, part art class… well, probably not. No talent required. Supplies provided.

      What to expect: A wild array of Greater Vancouver’s brave, bold and beautiful puppeteers have thrown their names into the hat for a chance to wow, shock, delight, and/or disturb you in ten minutes or less. Cash bar, wonder, and magic are all at your fingertips at this night of unbridled madness.

      What to expect: Weird Al Karaoke! It's a show where Vancouver comedians perform original parody songs, live! There's an evil puppet named Weird Owl that lives at Little Mountain and ruins the show every time. For real, this owl is a creep.
