From September 3 to 5, 2016 TAIWANfest takes over various Vancouver venues.

Each year, the festival aims to bring in other Asian cultures in a celebration of Canada's vibrant multicultural scene. This year, the theme is A Cultural Tango With Hong Kong, and will examine the historical past, explore the complex present, and debate the future.

Programming highlights include an opening-night concert by Maestro Ken Hsieh, a performance by Cosmos People, a platform for innovative stories and ideas, music by Utopia, the International Pan-Asian Culinary Invitational, a friendship picnic, a tea reception, and one-minute movies.

Participating venues include Granville Street (between Hastings and Smithe), Centre for Performing Arts in Vancouver, Vancouver Playhouse, Queen Elizabeth Plaza, and Orpheum Annex.
