The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors Studio 58’s One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest

Langara College’s professional theatre training program, Studio 58, presents One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest at Langara College (100 West 49^th Avenue) from November 13 to 30.

The play by Dale Wasserman based on the novel by Ken Kesey tells the story of a charming rogue who contrives to serve a short sentence in a mental institution rather than prison. What R.P. McMurphy doesn’t bargain for is Nurse Ratched, a rigid disciplinarian who rules patients by taking advantage of their weakness.

This production is directed by Patrick McDonald and features set design by Pam Johnson, costumes by Sydney Cavanagh, and lighting design by Darren Boquist.
