The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the Vancouver International Flamenco Festival 2016

From September 10 to 20, the Vancouver International Flamenco Festival 2016 takes over various Vancouver venues.

Featuring a lineup of local and international flamenco artists, this year's event showcases a range of free workshops as well as ticketed events.

Of the festival, artistic director and founder Rosario Ancer says that it highlights a "passionate and fiery lineup of some of the most innovative and revered flamenco artists of our time."

Participating artists include Toque Flamenco, Rosanna Terracciano, ¡ARTE! Flamenco, Mercedes Amaya Company, Flamenco Rosario, Victor Kolstee, Jose 'Cachito' Diaz, and Santiago Aguilar.
