With election day looming at the end of this week, the race for Surrey mayor is "exceptionally close", according to the results of a new poll.

Barinder Rasode of One Surrey is not far behind, at 30 percent.

Four percent of decided voters expressed support for other candidates.

Meanwhile, 24 percent of eligible voters remain undecided.

People need to wake up and remember how Doug McCallum ruined Surrey. They kicked him out nine years ago for a reason. Don't care whether they elect Hepner or Rasode, as long as they don't bring Doug back.

Out of the "Big 3" contenders for Surrey's top spot, Barinder Rasode is the best option and has my vote. She is the only one that represents the change our city needs and has the energy and compassion to make things right.. Linda has been quoted saying that "there is nothing wrong with Surrey" at the last debate. If you agree with that statement then vote for her. Doug Mccallum, was already mayor. His time has past. By voting for him, you support his awful record and will be taking away from the progression that current mayor Watts has laid down the past 9years. His supporters have some kind of amnesia and have forgotten why he was chased out of city hall to begin with. He would a perfect example of the saying taking one step forward, then taking two steps back. With this recent poll it clearly shows that the majority of young voters are supporting Rasode. Change in the ways things are run in Surrey is on the horizon if the 'Future of Surrey' will be the deciding factor this election. It is clear we want change as the current council seems to be very out of touch with the current main concerns of its residents. Vote for Barinder Rasode of One Surrey on Nov 15 if you support postive change and a new way of doing things!

Like any of us, all of the candidates have personal, professional and political baggage. Pick the one you dis-like the most and get out and vote.

Given the age demographics Rasode is in big trouble with 40% of her supporters in the 'least likely to vote' age group. McCallum is not much better at 35%. Hepner is a shoe-in.

Hepner is backed by Dianne Watts whom I think was a great mayor cleaning up the corruption from past Surrey Mayor Doug Macallum. So Hepner is a decent choice, however she has no vision for Surrey. Rasode has a clear vision for improving Surrey and she has backing from both provincial party insiders: NDP & Liberals, which is a very difficult to achieve. Also Rasode will hire many more Community Police to patrol the high crime areas for cheaper instead of hiring RCMP that will be paid big buck to had out traffic tickets. Thus my vote is with Rasode.

Rasode lost my vote when the negative attack ads against Hepner started. Tell me what YOU are going to do ....NOT rip your opponent apart.

Voting for Doug. He has proven to do I good job in the past and I know he will do the same in the future. I believe that he is a good fit for the up and coming demographic of Surrey. Good luck to all the candidates but I believe Doug as an overally strong portfolio, thus I believe Doug has this one in the bag.
