Progressive voters: Meena Wong is asking you to “come home” to COPE

Earlier this week, mayoral incumbent Gregor Robertson publicly pleaded for COPE supporters to help Vision Vancouver stop the NPA's Kirk LaPointe from showing us his "transparent" version of city hall.

One day before general balloting, COPE mayoral candidate Meena Wong is striking back, with her own plea for "progressive voters" to vote for COPE and a "Vancouver you can afford".

COPE says it's bought airtime today (November 14) for the following ad on radio stations:

Holy smokes, COPE must be raking it in right now. Huh.

Of course Meena Wong will be employing the same groveling tactics as Robertson. As the polls indicate a possible commitment of 9% in support of her is not what she and her party envisioned. In fact Chris Brayfield recently expressed regret (in the Tyee.ca) at signing her nomination papers and Charlie Smith recently scratched his head over her transit plan as "defying" logic. It may be devastating if none of COPE's slate will find their way to City Hall, under Wong's watch. Lots at stake.
