Photos: Hiking to Sawblade Falls in Pinecone Burke Provincial Park

Sometimes hiking to Norvan Falls in North Vancouver's Lynn Headwaters Regional Park gets tiresome.

If you feel me, consider a visit to Sawblade Falls in Pinecone Burke Provincial Park, out in Coquitlam.

On a rainy day last week, I did a lovely nine-kilometre loop involving the Coquitlam Lake View Trail, Sawblade mountain bike trail (check out that dangerously cool sign), and Woodland Walk.

Our route also took in Dry Crossing Falls and Woodland Walk Falls, and was based on the Four Cascades Loop described in the excellent Burke and Widgeon: A Hiker’s Guide (Pebblestone Publishing, 2013) by Lyle Litzenberger.

The hike in to Sawblade Falls took two hours, and the round trip clocked in at four hours.
