Welcome to Felindr, the Georgia Straight's feline adoption web feature.

Each profile is of an eligible catchelor or catchelorette from VOKRA, the non-profit Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association dedicated to the rescue of cats in the Lower Mainland.

David Bowie looks into your eyes under the moonlight (the serious moonlight).

Purrfession: Tribute acts

Prince likes to wear high heels sometimes. But often he finds he fits his entire self inside them.

We're seeking: a manager

Physical description: We're all androgynous

Pat Benatar hates it when the litterbox is a battlefield. "Stop using your ass as a weapon!" she yells.

Ethnicity: Superstarian

Want kids? But we're the kids in America. (Whoah.)

David Bowie likes chasing (and eating) the spiders from Mars.

Smoke: It gets in your eyes.

Drink: Pop

After Freddie Mercury bit David Bowie in his Ziggy Stardust phase, he quipped, "Another one bites the dust."

Faith: As a wise man once said, ya gotta have faith, a-faith, a-faith (then again, he shook his ass—some mistakes were built to last)

Our purrsonalities: Annie finds there's always a cat playing with her heart, David is a spacey oddity, Freddie is just a poor boy who needs no sympathy because he's easy come easy go, Pat likes to give everything her best shot, and Prince enjoys going crazy

Freddie Mercury sometimes acts like a queen.

Our conversational interests: debating about who's that girl running around with you, how to pronounce Prince's symbol, debating who wants to live forever

Our hobbies: doing the magic dance, weather forecasting (here comes the purple rain again), listening to radio ga ga (and radio goo goo)

This is what Pat Benatar looks like when she feels she belongs (with you).

Our likes: being empowered cats dancing in the streets with an affirmative and collaborative group dance (because felines are doing it for themselves), short shorts and raspberry berets (the kind you find at a second-hand store—smash!) on men, sweet dreams, getting to the church on time

Our dislikes: being under pressure (but singing about it is okay), another hero beyond the Thunderdome, dogs named Gowan or Luba, the lady in red

David Bowie yells, "This is ground control to Major Tom Cat!"

Our motto: We are the champions!

Our expectations of a relationship: Somebody (somebody), somebody (somebody) to love
