The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the VanDusen Festival of Lights

      The Festival of Lights at VanDusen Botanical Garden, on now until January 4, 2015, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this season. 

      Over one million lights decorate the garden during the family-friendly event, which features dancing light shows on Livingstone Lake, photos with Santa, Scandinavian gnome performances, a shadow puppet show, the Make-A-Wish candle grotto, and tasty holiday treats.

      The Festival of Lights is open 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. tonight, 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on December 24, closed on December 25, and runs December 26 to January 4 from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
