Crowded House deluxe CD and vinyl reissues coming in November

      If I made a list of my Top 10 favourite pop songs of all time, the vast majority would be Beatles tunes, I'm pretty sure.

      But I'm also certain that Crowded House's "Don't Dream It's Over" would be in there as well, vying for a spot amongst "I Should Have Known Better" and "A Day in the Life".

      I fell in love with the simple melodic beauty of that tune when it first came out 30 years ago next month, and became a longtime fan of the Aussie/Kiwi band led by singer-songwriter Neil Finn.

      If you're a similarly minded music fan, you'll be happy to hear that a ton of previously unreleased Crowded House material will be issued on November 18 through Universal Music Canada.

      All seven of the group's studio albums--Crowded House (1986), Temple of Low Men ('88), Woodface ('91), Together Alone ('93), Afterglow ('99), Time on Earth (2007), and Intriguer (2010)--will be released as two-CD packages that include the original album with a bonus disc of rarities, b-sides, home demos, and outtakes. (The albums will also be rereleased on vinyl, but unfortunately those won't include the bonus material, which kinda sucks.)

      The Crowded House Deluxe edition sees the original 11 track album expanded to 28 tracks. The 36 page booklet boasts lyrics, rare photos, newly commissioned liner notes from long-time fanclub president Peter Green and new interviews with Neil Finn and Nick Seymour.
