The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors Spirit Unforgettable at VIFF

On October 8, as part of the Vancouver International Film Festival, Spirit Unforgettable will be screened at the Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts (777 Homer).

In the documentary, director Peter McCormack (known for previous VIFF selection Facing Ali) chronicles the story of Spirit of the West vocalist John Mann.

McCormack uses archival footage and intimate interviews to chart Mann's struggle with early onset Alzheimer's.

The B.C. Spotlight Awards ceremony will start at 5:30 p.m., with the film screening afterwards.
