Time to nominate Vancouver Pride 2015 parade marshals

      Who do you think should be a Vancouver Pride parade marshal?

      The Vancouver Pride Society is accepting nominations for local, national, or international individuals who have helped to create both awareness of LGBT issues and safe spaces for LGBT communities.

      Previous parade marshals have included:

      • transgender activist and filmmaker Gwen Haworth

      • Whistler Pride producer Dean Nelson

      • the late Vancouver LGBT pioneer ted northe

      • transgender model-turned-activist Jenna Talackova

      • the late queer activist David Holtzman

      • Montenegrin LGBT activist Zdravko Cimbaljevic 

      Nominations, accompanied by a description of the nominee's contributions and why he, she, or they should be a parade marshal, can be sent by email. 

      The deadline is March 31.

      Speaking of nominations and deadlines, the deadline for Pride Legacy Award nominations (January 31) is fast approaching so get 'em in pronto.
