A remarkable aspect of this presidential election has been the lack of support for Donald Trump in his hometown of New York City.

Some of the most trenchant and memorable jabs have come from people living in the Big Apple.

There was Robert De Niro's declaration that he wants to punch Trump in the face.

Then there has been a steady diet of Stephen Colbert's scathing takedowns on The Late Show.

New Yorker Robert De Niro calls Donald Trump a "bozo".

Of course, who can forget New York City actor Alec Baldwin's legendary impersonations of The Donald on Saturday Night Live.

Meanwhile, the New York Times printed Trump's tax return showing a $916-million loss. It also published the first allegations of Trump groping women.

Another Big Apple paper, the New York Daily News, has published several hard-hitting and hilarious covers featuring Trump (like the ones above and below) looking like a loser.

This week, the New York Daily News published an informative 14-chapter editorial entitled "Bury Trump in a Landslide"

It explained why the billionaire real-estate developer is thoroughly unfit to become president. You can read the titles below.
