On November 5, 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Celebrate Craft...Beer! comes to Performance Works (1218 Cartwright Street, Granville Island).

Presented by the Craft Council of B.C., the event is a charitable fundraiser that celebrates the seasonal craft beer of 18 B.C. breweries who will be participating in a tasting by judges and craft community enthusiasts.

The winning beer, selected by jurors Rebecca Whyman, Chad McCarthy, and Ken Beattie, will get a handmade tap designed and created by a noted local craft artist.

Other highlights include live music by electronica duo Not You, food, and a silent auction of B.C. experiences such as dance lessons with Joe Ink Dance, local goodies, and gift certificates for Burgoo Bistro.

There will also be a curated market of work by local artists Bev Ellis, Julian Duerksen, Joanna Lovett, Olympia Komianos, CraftedVan, Good Mallows, Heather Konschuh, Zed Handmade, and Charmian Nimmo.

Tickets for Celebrate Craft...Beer! are $37 and are available online.
