Live Nation has just announced that Marianas Trench's upcoming show at the Abbotsford Centre has been postponed.

Due to an illness within the band, the first 10 shows of the Vancouver-based progressive-pop band's Last Crusade tour will have to be rescheduled.

Frontman Josh Ramsay's throat infection and resulting scar tissue is to balme.

According to a news release, his doctor has advised him not to sing until the new year.

"With enough vocal rest and medicine, I should be back in fighting shape in no time," Ramsay said. "Unfortunately we weren’t able to reschedule all the shows, and we’ll have to see our fans in Sault Ste. Marie and Medicine Hat a little further down the road!”

Originally scheduled for November 4, Marianas Trench's new local show will take place on February 10 at the Abbotsford Centre.

Tickets for the postponed show will be honoured on the rescheduled date.
