Vancouver filmmaker Neill Blomkamp returns from the future with frightening video of U.S. President Donald Trump

District 9 director and part-time Vancouver resident Neill Blomkamp has captured some remarkable footage from the near future.

Two short videos posted to Instagram in recent days appear to show Donald Trump travelling in government vehicles after assuming the office of the president this coming January.

The footage was posted without explanation or comment but includes the hashtag "trump" and Trump is exactly what it appears to show.

The reality television star and real-estate mogul was of course elected president of the United States on November 8. Today he met with President Barack Obama. Trump will officially assume office at a ceremony in Washington D.C. scheduled for January 20.
