You've Got Craft: Graveley & Sons jazzes up bar with botanical infusions

    1 of 2 2 of 2

In anticipation of Got Craft?’s holiday edition, taking place from December 10 to 11 at the Pipe Shop Building (115 Victory Ship Way, North Vancouver), we’re getting to know some of the fair’s 80-plus independent designers and makers.

Today, we meet Mortimer, Simon, and Kevin Graveley, owners of Graveley & Sons.

      Who are you

We are Graveley & Sons. Mortimer Graveley runs the show and Simon and myself (Kevin) make all the magic happen.

We are very small producers so everything is designed, produced, labeled, and packaged by ourselves in East Vancouver.

      What’s your shtick

We create alcohol-infusion kits for vodka and rum. The botanicals come packaged in a heavy-duty and reusable bottle and you simply add your own alcohol.

We source botanicals from all over the world and blend them in just the right recipe to make exquisite flavours. Each kit comes with a limited-edition postcard recipe and we are always looking for submissions to the recipe book.

We also make cocktail syrups: tonic, cola, sangria, and mulled wine, the last of which is very popular this time of year. All of our syrups are made in small batches with ingredients you can pronounce.

      Our ideal stocking stuffer

Our mulled wine syrup, alongside a bottle of wine, would make an amazing stocking stuffer.

Imagine warm mulled wine before Christmas dinner—your home would be filled with the smell. It doesn't get better than that!

      This year, we’re gifting…

We always work to gift experiences rather than "stuff"—practical things that can be used, reused, and don't take up a lot of space.

Some of our favourites are marshmallows from Goodmallows and lotions or balms from Here & Now Botanicals. Some of the luckiest people on our list will probably be getting some beautiful vintage glassware from Sips Cocktail Emporium

Tickets to Got Craft? are $3 in advance online or $5 at the door. For more information about the event, or to purchase tickets, click here.
