No shortage of Donald Trump nicknames

This morning, I was writing a post that mentioned Donald Trump, and I wanted to use one of his nicknames.

I went with the one I've heard most often, the "short-fingered vulgarian", which was coined by the now-defunct Spy magazine in the 1980s.

But in the course of my research, I came across many other colourful epithets to describe the president-elect.

Here are my favourites that appeared on the City Pages website:

      • Mango Mussolini

      • The Tanning Bed Warning Label

      • The Angry Cheetoh

      • Hair Führer

      • Agent Orange

Then there's Rosie O'Donnell's nickname for Trump: Lord Voldemort.

Bill Maher coined "The White Kanye".

But perhaps the all-time best, which was devised by Jon Stewart, goes like this: Fuckface von Clownstick, Man-Baby, Comedy Entrapment and Unrepentant Narcissistic Asshole.

And in Trump-related news, the Media Matters for America website has reported that conspiracy theorist Alex Jones is issuing warnings about a pre-inauguration assassination.

According to Jones, "rogue elements" within the Central Intelligence Agency want to take out Trump before he becomes president.

"Trump has mainstreamed Jones," Media Matters for America noted. "He appeared on Jones’ program in December 2015 and said he has an 'amazing' reputation. Trump also called Jones after the election to thank his audience for supporting his candidacy and promised to appear on his program soon."
