Davie Street's Relish Gourmet Burgers shuts down

      Downtown Vancouver's burger wars have resulted in a casualty.

      Relish Gourmet Burgers closed at 1708 Davie Street as of December 30.

      The spot opened in September 2015 as part of a westward expansion for the New Brunswick–based company.

      Another location in East Vancouver at 2290 Commercial Drive, which opened in July 2015, remains open for business.

      The company has locations in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Fredericton, New Brunswick, but closed their location in St. John's, Newfoundland, in August 2015.

      The closure comes amid changes in the area, including the conversion of the nearby Denman Street location of Vera's Burgers to Burnaby-based '50s Burgers in December. Around the same time, Milestones also shut down its original English Bay location around the corner from Relish.
