What to expect: Stacked Comedy kicks off 2017 with another incredible lineup of comedians including your headliner for the night, the hilarious Jane Stanton.
When and where:January 9 at Havana Theatre at 9 p.m.
What to expect: Join Graham Clark and friends for a night of laughs, larfs, guffaws, giggles and snorts. Plus a chance to win on-of-a-kind-prizes.
When and where: January 10-14 at Yuk Yuk’s. Tuesday-Thursday at 8:00 p.m., Friday & Saturday 7 and 9:30 p.m. shows.
What to expect: Yuk Yuk’s Vancouver comedy club provides the best live comedy in the city of Vancouver. Top Talent showcase on January 10. Amateur Night on January 11. Arden Myrin headlines on January 13-14.

What to expect: Have you ever wanted to try standup comedy? This open mic is very receptive to new comics. Bring some friends and make a night of it.
When and where: January 10-14 at the Comedy MIX. Tuesday-Thursday at 8:30 p.m., Friday & Saturday 7 and 9:30 p.m. shows.
What to expect: Plant yourself in a plush booth, graze on some pub grub, sip a beer or two, and laugh along with some new and hot stand-up comedy. Oh, by the way, nobody else is responsible if you laugh so hard beer comes out of your nose. Just warning you. Pro-am night on January 10, Comedy Showcase on January 11, Brent Morin headlines on January 12-14.

What to expect: Join us at Seven Dining Lounge for Little by Little, a standup comedy fundraiser supporting the fight to end homelessness. All proceeds going to Union Gospel Mission and Covenant House.

When and where: January 15 at Big Rock Urban Brewery at 8 p.m.
What to expect: Comedy at Big Rock returns, bigger and rockier for 2017. We're not sure about a lot of things, but we sure know that our headliner, Adam Pateman, will make you laugh like everything is going to be fine (nothing's going to be fine ever again).
When and where: January 11-18 at The Improv Centre.

What to expect: The award-winning Quizplace Free Monday Night Trivia brings you another four rounds of questions! So put your teams together, or come on your own and enjoy a night of laughs with your resident hosts: Patrick Maliha (Vancouver stand-up legend) and Gregory Milne (The Radical Improv Comedy)! Food and drink specials all night.
When and where: January 10 at Café Deux Soleils at 8 p.m.
What to expect: Vancouver's finest comedians throw down at Vancouver Improv Fight Club. The main event this month is The Wedding Party versus The Questioneers, with the audience deciding the champion. Then stick around for the Short Form Mixer, where audience members are invited to workshop and perform on the Cafe Deux Soleils stage. No experience necessary!

What to expect: Arguably the most fun you can have on a weekday in Vancouver (depending on who you ask...), enjoy three exhilarating sets of belly dancers, drag performers, comedy, thrilling live stunts, contortionists, burlesque, and random hilariousness ALL IN ONE SHOW!

What to expect: An hour of improvised sketches from the hottest improv comedians in the city. From the brilliant and sharp to the absurd and messy, the rule is simple – never been seen before. LIGHTS!
When and where: January 11 at Portside Pub 9 p.m.
What to expect: Rock Paper Scissors Tournament - with prizes! Participants battle to see who is the ultimate Rock Paper Scissors champion, with a live referee and comedian hosting the event. Food and drink specials are available, with a great atmosphere for anyone and everyone to join.
When and where: January 13 at Havana Theatre at 10:30 p.m.
What to expect: Cagematch pits the fiercest and most hilarious improvisers against each other to determine who has the best improv in the city. For 15 years, Cagematch is an underground hotbed of talent where improvisers pull out all the stops for a chance to win $500 cold hard cash. Three teams will go head to head to make you laugh the hardest in an effort to win your vote. You determine the winner who moves on to the next round, so join us every Friday night for the hottest competitive comedy in the city!

What to expect: An all inclusive unforgettable evening of gourmet Chinese cuisine with intimate close-up magic at your table, and an incredible unique comedy magic show on stage.

What to expect: Is this what you want?! Is this what you want, you filthy animals?! Regardless of your answer, we're doing it anyways. It's time to let that pent-up innner tension out at the next episode of Geeks versus Nerds Vancouver...

What to expect: The cities best performers share intimate, hilarious, often embarrassing, stories that seem to odd to be true. The catch is, one story is a lie. Join in the interrogation! Audience members have the opportunity to question the contestants in an attempt to bust the liar. First to guess the liar right wins the respect and admiration of all their peers as well as an amazing kitchen appliance.
When and where: January 14 at Little Mountain Gallery at 8 p.m.
What to expect: A fresh sketch and improv comedy show to warm up your icy hearts this January, featuring special guest stars standup comic Luke Syrnick and sketch duo Carmelahhh.
When and where: January 15 at Havana Theatre at 7:30 p.m.
What to expect: AUDIO/VIDEO is improv inspired by the worlds of film and music. Improvised films? Got it. Extreme close ups? Totally. Sing alongs? Better believe it. If there is a such a thing as too much entertainment in one show, it would be this one. AUDIO/VIDEO draws inspiration from movies, suggested Youtube videos, or other prerecorded sketches to improvise a great show. When hilarious video and fantastic improv collide, you're going to get some amazing results.
