Whether you're gay, straight, lesbian, bi, trans, genderqueer, intersex, asexual, or just plain happy, if you're a hockey fan who wants to support the Vancouver Pride parade, here's a fundraising evening of beer, nosh, and hockey to take note of.

Starting at 5 p.m. on Friday (January 20), the evening kicks off with a craft-beer tasting with pizza held at Central City Brewing's downtown brewpub (871 Beatty Street).

The party later moves over to Vancouver Pride Society's corporate box at Rogers Arena to watch the Vancouver Canucks play against the Florida Panthers at 7 p.m. Food and drink will be served throughout the game.

There'll also be a draw to win a Vancouver Canucks Premier Home Hockey Jersey (worth $140).

Tickets are $200 but there are only a few left so act fast by visiting the Eventbrite webpage if you want to attend.

The Vancouver Canucks have been supportive of LGBT communities over the years, with the likes of Manny Malhotra, Jason Garrison, and Emerson Etem marching in past parades.
