The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors Pop Up Dances

On February 18 and 19, Pop Up Dances can be seen at Granville Island.

The event, presented by New Works through a cultural partnership with CMHC Granville Island, features site-specific performances that celebrate dance in all its forms.

The dances will be performed by Alex Wells, Chris Murphy, Isabelle Kirouac, Monica Shah, and Naomi Brand.

Pre-shows commence at 12:50 p.m., 1:50 p.m., 2:50 p.m., and 3:50 p.m. at the Under the Bridge venue listed on the Winterruption guide map. Tours will begin at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m.

The Bloco Energia drummers will lead the way as the audience moves between the tour locations.
