The Georgia Straight presents Grandaddy at Imperial

      Live Nation has announced that American indie-rock band Grandaddy will play Imperial on Sunday, May 7, in support of its upcoming album, Last Place.

      Formed in Modesto, Californa in 1992, Grandaddy consists of Jason Lytle, Aaron Burtch, Tim Dryden, Jim Fairchild, and Kevin Garcia. The band initially broke through with 1997's Under the Western Freeway and the single "Summer Here Kids."

      Grandaddy is set for a full return this year, including its first new music in ten years in the form of its new album, which will be released March 3.

      Tickets for the show are $32 (plus service charges and fees), and go on sale on this Friday (February 3) at 10 a.m. on the Ticketmaster website.
