Comicbook lovers are mourning the loss of yet another beloved Mount Pleasant business.

Rx Comics announced on January 2 that it would close forever at 2418 Main Street, just north of Broadway, on January 28 after 14 years in business.

Its collection of comics, softcover and hardcover books, action figures, collectible items, toys, and more were sold off in a blowout sale with massive discounts (from 50 to 90 percent off) within its final days of business.

Over the past few weeks, the area has been experiencing a wave of closure announcements, including the vegetarian restaurant The Foundation and the art gallery Hot Art Wet City, which will close at the end of March.
