      What to expect: Have you ever wanted to try standup comedy? This open mic is very receptive to new comics. Bring some friends and make a night of it.

      The Comedy Mix

      When and where: February 14-18 at the Comedy MIX. at Tuesday-Thursday at 8:30 p.m., Friday & Saturday 8 and 10:30 p.m. shows.
      What to expect: Plant yourself in a plush booth, graze on some pub grub, sip a beer or two, and laugh along with some new and hot standup comedy. Oh, by the way, nobody else is responsible if you laugh so hard beer comes out of your nose. Just warning you. Pro-am night on February 14, Comedy Showcase on February 15, Brian Posehn headlines on February 16-18.

      Fox Hole Stand Up Comedy

      When and where: February 15 at Fox Cabaret at 7 & 9:30 p.m.
      What to expect: Standup comedy every Wednesday in the Projection Room, upstairs at the Fox Cabaret. Check out some of Vancouver's local comics in a small, intimate venue right on Main Street.

      When and where: February 16 at Lana Lou's (362 Powell Street, Vancouver) at 8:30 p.m.
      What to expect: It's a standup comedy show going down at Lana Lou's with some of the best comedians from Vancouver as well as all across Canada!

      Fortune Feimster

      When and where: February 17 at Biltmore Cabaret at 7 p.m.
      What to expect: Fortune Feimster made her national TV debut in 2010 on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, where she finished as a semi-finalist. That same year, she was selected to perform in the New Faces Showcase at the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. Now, Fortune is a full-time writer and roundtable regular on Chelsea Lately, and is a cast member on the comedy series The Mindy Project.

      Iliza

      When and where: February 17 at Vogue Theatre at 7 p.m.
      What to expect: Iliza is the only female and youngest comedian to hold the title of NBC’s Last Comic Standing. Her one-hour debut comedy special, War Paint, reached #1 on the iTunes charts and was named one of its Top 10 Albums of 2013. In early 2015, Iliza’s follow-up, Freezing Hot, a Netflix Original Comedy Special, sealed her title as one of the hottest touring acts in America. Her television credits include multiple appearances on NBC’s Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Today Show, Comedy Central, Hollywood Game Night, Chelsea Lately, and hosting 230 episodes of the CBS syndicated show Excused as well as the TBS show Separation Anxiety. Iliza’s digital series, Forever 31, which is currently streaming on ABC.com and Hulu, has been picked up for a second season and her newest stand-up special for Netflix, Confirmed Kills, premiered in September 2016. In 2017, Weinstein Books will publish her first book, Girl Logic.

      The List

      When and where: February 17 at Little Mountain Gallery at 10 p.m.
      What to expect: The month The List is part of JFL NorthWest Comedy Festival. It combines the written fun of stand-up comedy with the instant fun of improvisation. Each show features some of Vancouver’s top comedians performing a comedic list on any topic they desire. Then, improvisers take the stage and serve up some hilarious scenes by bringing that list to life. It’s a fun silly show where the audience is always in on the joke.

      Nate Bargatze

      When and where: February 17 at Biltmore Cabaret at 7 p.m.
      What to expect: Nate Bargatze is a standup comedian following in the entertainment business footsteps of his dad – a former clown turned world-class magician. He is known for his special on Comedy Central Presents and has made multiple appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and is a recurring guest on @midnight. Bargatze’s first album, Yelled at by a Clown, made the Billboard Top Ten Comedy Chart, and his second album, Full Time Magic, was released in May 2015 along with his Comedy Central Special. That same year, Bargatze was named one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch” and given the #1 spot on Vulture’s “50 Comedians You Should Know.”

      Piff the Magic Dragon

      When and where: February 18 at Vogue Theatre at 7 p.m.
      What to expect: The breakout star from season 10 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent was without question Piff the Magic Dragon. When it comes to Piff, think Larry David in a dragon suit performing jaw-dropping magic tricks. With over 12 million YouTube hits to his name, Piff has performed to hundreds of thousands of fans in iconic venues such as Radio City Music Hall, Shakespeare’s Globe, the O2 in London, and the Sydney Opera House. His one-man show has had five record-breaking runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, two sell-out seasons at Soho Theatre in London’s West End, and a national tour of the UK and Australia. Recently, Piff has completed a six-month residency at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in their flagship show “Vegas Nocturne”.

      Vancouver Improv Fight Club: Valentine's Day Destruction

      When and where: February 14 at Café Deux Soleils at 8 p.m.
      What to expect: Love is a battlefield, and this Valentine's Day you're invited to a special Vancouver Improv Fight Club where The Fictionals & Friends break hearts and funny bones! The Cafe Deux Soleils stage will run red on February 14 as two teams of Cupids battle for the audience's affection!       Kits Kits Bang Bang - Episode Two

      When and where: February 17 at Little Mountain Gallery at 7 p.m.
      What to expect: Our hero Dominic Smith is in trouble. His love Samanthatha has been captured by fitness tyrant Sir Montgomery and his henchman/partner Charles. With Steve Nash dead, the gyms of Vancouver shut down, and his dying grandmother perhaps on her last days, can Dominic step up and save the day?

      Instant Theatre at Havana Theatre

      When and where: February 14-19 at Havana Theatre at Various times
      What to expect: Led by Artistic Director Alistair Cook, Instant Theatre is home to playwrights, actors, animators, moms, dad bods, marketing managers, graphic designers, mechanics, magicians, and more. We produce almost two hundred shows a year locally and have performed at festivals all over the world from Berlin to Bellingham.
