The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors Elektra Women's Choir 30th Anniversary Gala Concert

      On March 8, 8 pm, Elektra Women's Choir 30th Anniversary Gala Concert takes place at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts (6265 Crescent Road, UBC).

      Held on International Women's Day, the concert will see Canadian soprano Isabel Bayrakdarian collaborate with the local women's choir, as well as cellist Rebecca Wenham and percussionist Robin Reid.

      The program will feature the Canadian premiere of Serouj Kradjian's arrangement of Armenian hymns, Abbie Betinis's From Behind the Caravan, and the world premiere of Kradjian's Prayer, which is based on the words of Lebanese-American poet Kahlil Gibran.

      Tickets for Elektra Women's Choir 30th Anniversary Gala Concert are $50, $40, and $20 and are available online.
