HUB Cycling announces winners at its 4th Annual Bike Awards
On Tuesday (February 28) HUB Cycling celebrated Metro Vancouver’s top bike champions, including businesses, municipalities, workspaces, and schools at the 4th Annual Bike Awards at Science World.
The invitation-only event, hosted by Charles Gauthier, president of the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association, shared the stories of individuals and organizations that are leading the way in making cycling an attractive choice for everyone.
Winners were selected by HUB Cycling staff and volunteer committees based on effort and investment put towards bike education and incentives for employees, on-site bike facilities, commitment to bike-related research, media and advocacy initiatives, infrastructure improvements, and Bike to Work and School Week participation.
HUB Cycling is a charitable nonprofit that has spent the last 19 years removing barriers to cycling in Metro Vancouver, while cultivating the health, environmental, and economic benefits that active transportation can bring. HUB Cycling has educated thousands of people, motivated thousands more, and championed improvements that benefit current and future bike commuters. For more information, visit bikehub.ca.
