From April 7-9, Chor Leoni presents BC/BALTICA at two venues in Vancouver.

For the concerts, the local choral ensemble takes inspiration from the long tradition of Baltic and Scandinavian men's choirs to highlight the winners of the choir's recent C/4—Canadian Choral Composition Competition.

Program highlights include the music of late Estonian composser Veljo Tormi, Edvard Grieg's settings of Kvalings Halling, Jaakko Mäntyjärvi's Grim and Glacial Funeral Waltzes, and Gunnar Idenstam's Oh Kristus valgus oled sa.

BC/BALTICA takes place April 7 and 8, 8 p.m., at Ryerson United Church (2195 West 45th) and April 9, 4:30 p.m., at West Vancouver United Church (2062 Esquimalt Avenue, West Vancouver).

Tickets for BC/BALTICA are $40, $35, $30, and $10 and are available online.
