From March 23 to April 9, The Refugee Hotel takes the stage at Studio 58 (100 West 49th).

Presented by Studio 58 in a West Coast premiere performance, the dark comedy is set in a rundown West End Vancouver hotel in 1974, only months after the start of the reign of Chilean general Augusto Pinochet.

The Refugee Hotel tells the story of eight Chilean exiles who struggle with the effects of fleeing their homeland.

Written and directed by Carmen Aguirre, the play also features the talents of set designer Yvan Morissette, costume designer Elizabeth Wellwood, sound designer Owel Belton, and lighting designer Jaylene Pratt.

Tickets for The Refugee Hotel start at $12.25 and are available online or by calling 604-684-2787.
