Australian guitar wizard Tommy Emmanuel among newly announced jazz fest acts

      As part of its upcoming 32nd annual edition, the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival has announced eight major concerts.

      The festival, which takes place at various Vancouver venues from June 22 to July 2, will present a series at Pyatt Hall that shines a spotlight on established and emerging mainstream-jazz artists, as well as two heavyweight performers at the Vogue Theatre.

      Australian guitar master Tommy Emmanuel, with Jenn Bojm and Khingfisher, headlines at the Vogue Theatre on June 25.

      Nashville-based jazz-soul vocalist-pianist Kandace Springs performs two shows with drummer Dillon Treacy and bassist Jesse Bielenberg at Pyatt Hall on June 25.

      On June 26, Jamaican pop-reggae superstar Ziggy Marley hits the Vogue Theatre.

      American jazz pianist Cyrus Chestnut and his trio will headline Pyatt Hall for two shows on June 27.

      On June 29, American jazz pianist-composer Emmet Cohen, bassist Ron Carter, and drummer Evan Sherman play two shows at Pyatt Hall.

      American jazz bassist Buster Williams and jazz trio Something More hit Pyatt Hall on June 30 for two shows.

      On July 2, the Scott Hamilton Trio, featuring jazz musicians Rossano Sportiello, J.J. Shakur, and Scott Hamilton, plays two shows at Pyatt Hall.
