The newest trailer for upcoming production The Handmaid's Tale has just been released.

The series is based on Canadian literary giant Margaret Atwood's novel of the same name about life in the totalitarian dystopia of Gilead, where sexuality and reproduction is tightly regulated and controlled by a select few.

While Atwood's work was always regarded as somewhat prescient, it has become eerily more relevant since the advent of the presidency of Donald Trump.

The Handmaid's Tale is due to be released April 26 on Hulu.
