American saxophone master Branford Marsalis among recent jazz fest additions

      As part of its upcoming 32nd annual edition, the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival has announced five more concerts.

      The festival, which takes place at various Vancouver venues from June 22 to July 2, will present two more concerts as part of its Marquee Series at the Orpheum Theatre, a new series at West Vancouver's Kay Meek Centre, and one more concert in its Vogue Theatre series.

      American jazz pianist Kenny Barron presents a night of solo-piano tunes at the Kay Meek Centre on June 25.

      On June 27, American jazz ensemble the Tierney Sutton Band performs variations on the work of former Police frontman Sting at the Kay Meek Centre.

      International-music ensemble Bokanté takes the stage with Banda Magda, Michael League, and Malika Tirolien at the Vogue Theatre on June 27.

      On June 28, American jazz saxophonist and bandleader Branford Marsalis hits the Orpheum Theatre with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and longtime quartet pianist Joey Calderazzo.

      American electronica duo Thievery Corporation, composed of Rob Garza and Eric Hilton, takes over the Orpheum Theatre on June 29 with a concert in support of its new album The Temple of I and I.
