The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the Reel 2 Real International Film Festival for Youth

From April 2 to 8, the Reel 2 Real International Film Festival for Youth runs at the Vancity Theatre (1181 Seymour) and the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre (181 Roundhouse Mews).

The annual film festival is dedicated to showing the best in culturally diverse, authentic programming for youth.

The Sun at Midnight is shown at the festival's opening night.

Films on offer this year include The Sun at Midnight, Play Your Gender, Considering Love and Other Magic, Brothers of the Wind, Heidi, Polina, Louise by the Shore, and Pat & Mat.

Czech feature Pat & Mat features no dialogue or subtitles.

Other highlights include an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast that takes place on April 2 as part of Sunday Fun Day!, a day of family-friendly activities.
