      MONDAY: Finnish progressive folk-metal band Amorphis plays the Rickshaw Theatre, with guests Swallow the Sun, Gross Misconduct, and the Waning Light.

      MONDAY: the VCC Jazz Orchestra and local vocalists Talia Butler-Gray, Adriane Lake, Cary McCaffrey, Lynn Stewart, and Caralyn Taylor perform jazz classics by Duke Ellington, Artie Shaw, Stan Kenton, and Woody Herman at Vancouver Public Library's Alice MacKay Room.

      MONDAY: South Carolina indie-rock band Susto plays the Cobalt.
