Woverine's love affair with Vancouver continues.

X-Men star Hugh Jackman recently took a selfie at the Stanley Park totem poles, praising their workmanship.

The 48-year-old Australian has a history in the city.

X2: X-Men UnitedX-Men 3: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine , and X-Men: Days of Future Past all had scenes shot in Vancouver.

There's another local angle in Jackman's life.

In 2013, Vancouver makeup artist Rita Ciccozzi noticed a red spot on his nose, which turned out to be cancerous. This could have saved his life.

My makeup artist said ‘You’ve got a little spot of blood, here on your nose’ and I said ‘Yeah, I know it was from a fight sequence and I knocked it somehow.’ And trust me, for 17 years I’ve played Wolverine and I’ve had more scraps and cuts … I’m very clumsy with those claws,” Jackman told People magazine at the time.

Since then, he's had five more cancerous moles removed from his nose, the most recent coming in February.
